“Wholesome food that doesn’t taste like compromise.”
That is what we had in mind back in 2017 when Sheryl Sims and I decided to write a family cook book.
We were so tired of cooking recipes that were admittedly “healthy”
but had issues with the taste, texture, had too many obscure ingredients or were too complex.
We started gathering together all of our tried and true recipes, updating them with all of the tweaks and tips we had worked out over the years. Our goal was to document our recipes, and someday “publish” a cook book for our families.
As we dove in to the project, we began to refine older recipes, but also experiment and develop new ones that quickly became family favorites. As we became more confident with the “healthy” food we were serving, we started having people outside of our families taste things we had made and the feedback we got was surprising.
What we had was not only good, it was delicious!
Even the “picky people” were telling us they liked it!
It is so much easier to eat well when the food actually tastes good.
We realized that there were more people, than just those in our immediate family, that wanted to cook healthy food that actually tasted good!
Our dream of a family cook book grew a bit bigger as we thought about actually publishing our recipes for others to use and reference,
so we want to share them here with you. <3
From the very beginning we wanted to help make cooking nourishing food from scratch simpler for our loved ones. Now that we can share them online,
we would like to officially Welcome you to the family table!
